Passengers
How do I request a ride?
Open goRo, confirm where you are and enter where you want to go. You will see the drivers available around you and can either pick one yourself or let goRo offer the ride to the closest taxi. Once a driver accepts, you can watch the vehicle approach on the map.
Where is goRo available?
goRo is live in the cities listed on our Cities page. The platform is built to open in new cities without rebuilding anything, so the list grows as drivers join.
How do I see my driver?
As soon as a driver accepts, their name, rating, vehicle and number plate appear in the app, and the taxi shows on the map as it comes towards you with an estimated arrival time.
Can I cancel a ride?
Yes. You can cancel from the ride screen at any point before the trip starts. If no driver accepts your request within two minutes, goRo cancels it for you and tells you to try again shortly, so you are never left waiting on a request nobody picked up.
Can I message my driver?
Yes. Once a driver is assigned, either of you can open a chat inside the app - useful for describing exactly where you are standing without giving out your phone number.
How do I rate a driver?
When the ride is complete the app asks you to rate it. Ratings build each driver's public score, which is what the next passenger sees when choosing.
How do I contact support?
Use the form on our Contact page. Support contact details are published there as they become available.
Can I choose what kind of car comes?
Yes. Every car on goRo says what it is — Economy, Comfort, Business or Van — and you can narrow the list to the kind you want before you order. If nothing of that kind is close enough, goRo still shows you what is nearby, clearly marked as a different kind of car, so you can decide for yourself rather than being left with an empty screen.
Who sets the price of the ride?
The driver, or the company the driver works for. goRo does not set fares, does not take payment and does not see what you pay — it connects you to a driver and nothing more. This means fares differ between categories and between companies, so a Business car from one firm may cost quite differently from a Business car at the next. Agree the fare with the driver or their company before you set off.
Drivers
How can I become a goRo driver?
Fill in the form on our Drive with goRo page. Driver accounts are created by the local operator, who then gives you your login for the driver app.
What do I need to start?
A smartphone with a working GPS and data connection, a vehicle you are licensed to drive commercially in your city, and whatever permits your local authority requires. Exact requirements differ by country, so the operator in your city confirms them when you apply.
How does the driver app work?
You sign in, go on duty, and ride requests arrive on your screen with the pickup, the destination and the distance. You accept or decline each one. While a ride is running the app navigates you, shows the passenger's details and lets you message them.
How are rides assigned?
A passenger can choose you directly from the list of nearby taxis, or ask for the closest available one. In that case goRo offers the ride to drivers in turn and the first to accept gets it. You are never forced to take a ride.
Can I choose how far I drive?
Yes. You set your own working radius in the app. Requests from further away can still reach you - they are marked as being outside your radius, and you decide whether to take them.
How do I get paid?
goRo does not currently process payments. Fares are settled directly between the passenger and the driver, exactly as they are today. Payment handling is a planned addition, not a current feature.

Can taxi companies join goRo?
Yes, and that is the point. goRo is built to give existing operators the technology rather than to compete with them. Your drivers, your vehicles, your customers - our dispatch, tracking and apps.
Can I connect my existing fleet?
Yes. Each driver gets an account in the dispatcher dashboard along with their vehicle details, and starts receiving rides through the goRo driver app the same day.
How does fleet management work?
The dispatcher dashboard shows every vehicle live on a map, every ride in progress, and the full history. You can assign or reassign a ride by hand, add and disable drivers, and see when a driver's phone has stopped reporting its position.
How does pricing work?
Commercial terms are agreed per operator. Get in touch through the Business page and we will talk through what makes sense for the size of your fleet.
