Your safety comes first.
Safety in a taxi is mostly a question of information: who is driving, which car, where it is, and whether anyone can check afterwards. goRo answers all four.
You know who is coming
Before the taxi arrives you see the driver's name, photo initials, rating, vehicle make, colour and number plate. No unmarked car, no guessing.
The trip is tracked in real time
The vehicle's position updates continuously on your map from the moment the ride is accepted until you arrive.
Contact without sharing your number
Passenger and driver can message each other inside the app. Neither has to hand over a personal phone number to agree on a pickup point.
Ratings that mean something
Every completed ride can be rated. Scores are visible when a passenger chooses a driver, and an operator can disable an account at any time.
A record of every ride
Each trip is stored with its time, route and driver. Passengers see their own history; the operator sees all of it, which matters if anything ever needs to be looked into.
No phantom taxis
If a driver's phone stops reporting its position, goRo removes the vehicle from the map instead of leaving an old dot behind. What you see is where a taxi actually is.
One account, one device
A driver account can only be signed in on one phone at a time, and passwords can be changed or reset by the operator. A shared or stolen login cannot quietly keep working.
You are never left waiting
If no driver accepts within two minutes, the request is cancelled automatically and you are told plainly, rather than watching a spinner.
What we are building.
These are not live yet. We list them here rather than implying the platform already does them — a safety page that overstates itself is worse than no safety page.
In-app emergency button
A direct route to emergency services from inside a running trip.
Share my trip
Send a live link so someone you trust can follow your ride.
Verified driver documents
Licence and insurance checks recorded and expiry-tracked in the platform.
If something goes wrong
Every ride is recorded with its time, route, driver and vehicle. If you need something looked into, the operator in your city can see exactly what happened. Get in touch through our contact page and we will follow it up.
In an emergency, always contact your local emergency services first.
